Perfect Pair Series : A Sleepy Forest Doughnut & Beer Pairing

The Perfect Pair Series brings together Wayward Lane beer and the craft of local producers we love. Each month features a new partner and a curated tasting designed to highlight their creations alongside ours.

Live Music: The Outcrops
May

Live Music: The Outcrops

From the woods of northern New Jersey comes a band that feels like it was built for a place like ours. The Outcrops play blues soaked rock and soul with the kind of raw honesty that grabs you fast and hangs on. Led by vocalist and guitarist Cassidy Rain, whose voice lives somewhere between Bonnie Raitt warmth and Howlin Wolf grit, the band moves with a feeling that’s both tight and loose at the same time.

Her back and forth with lead guitarist Bryan Schroeder is where the magic starts. His lines float, bend, and weave in a way fans compare to Derek Trucks or Jerry Garcia, never overplayed, always exactly what the song needs. Underneath it all, the rhythm section locks into deep pocket grooves that bring funk, soul, and American roots together into something that feels familiar but entirely their own.

They’ve racked up serious accolades along the way, from winning the North Jersey Blues Challenge to being named NJ Band of the Year, and they’ve shared the stage with everyone from The Outlaws and Three Dog Night to some of the region’s best roots players. But what makes them special is the energy they bring in a live setting. It’s warm, gritty, melodic, and full of life.

If you’re into blues, soul, rock and roll, or anything with real feel behind it, this is the show.

Logjammin' VI

Logjammin' VI

Wayward Lane Brewing Presents Logjammin’ VI!

For the past five years the lager faithful have gathered in Philadelphia for Logjammin’, hosted by lager legends, Human Robot. This year they’ve passed the torch, and we’re honored to host the first destination version here at Wayward Lane Brewing.

On Saturday, June 6th we’re welcoming more than 50 breweries to our farm brewery in the rolling hills of the Schoharie Valley for a full day dedicated to lagerbier. Breweries from across the country will be pouring their finest lagers while bands play throughout the day on our two outdoor stages, with food trucks and pop-ups keeping everyone well fed. The whole thing unfolds across our 65-acre farm alongside our rustic taproom and open outdoor venue space.

At its core, Logjammin’ is about bringing brewers and drinkers together to celebrate great lager. That tradition continues here. It’s a chance to taste a ridiculous amount of great beer in one place and hang out with the people who make it.

As always, Logjammin’ VI will be a charitable event, this year raising funds to support the Open Space Institute. OSI is a prominent nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1974, dedicated to protecting land for public recreation, clean water, wildlife habitat, and climate protection. Operating primarily in the Eastern U.S. and Canada, OSI has helped protect over 2.5 million acres through land acquisition, grants, and community-based partnerships. As a rural farm brewery rooted in agriculture, this mission resonates deeply with us. Land stewardship is central to who we are and we’re stoked to align Logjammin’ with that effort.

General Admission is $65 and gets you into the festival from 1–5pm. All guests will receive a Logjammin’ VI tasting glass for the day.

VIP tickets are $95 and include early entry at 12pm for an extra hour of lager drinking before the gates open to everyone else. VIP guests will also receive an upgraded Logjammin’ VI tasting glass, a commemorative festival poster, and free 4-pack of the Human Robot x Wayward Lane collab beer released day of the festival.

Designated Driver tickets are available for those keeping the crew safe. Enjoy the music, food trucks, and festival atmosphere while responsibly getting your friends home. Non-alcoholic options will be available on site. DD tickets are $10 and include festival entry but do not include beer samples or a tasting glass.

Ticket link below.

We’ll be announcing breweries, bands, vendors, and other happenings by the end of March, so keep an eye out as the lineup fills in. Be sure to check out the LOGJAMMIN’ VI tab for all up to date information.

For the love of lagerbier,

Wayward Lane

For this event, we’re working with Gumbo de Ma Mère to create a small tasting menu inspired by their New Orleans heritage. We’ll pair several of their dishes with Wayward Lane beers chosen to lift up the spices, richness, and soul of their cooking.

The format stays true to The Perfect Pair Series:
a curated lineup of small pours and small plates designed to be enjoyed together.

More details and the full pairing menu coming soon.

The Perfect Pair Series continues each month with a new collaboration, new flavors, and a new way to experience Wayward Lane beer.

4th Annual Christmas Tree Blaze

4th Annual Christmas Tree Blaze

It’s that time of year again.
Our field of fallen Christmas trees is growing by the day and we’re getting ready to send them out in a blaze of glory. Join us Saturday, January 10 for the 4th Annual Christmas Tree Blaze, which is somehow both our most chaotic and most wholesome event of the year.

🎶 Before we set anything on fire, What? will be taking over The Metal Shed from 3-6 with a heavy dose of funk, horns, and enough groove to keep you warm before the inferno even starts. If you’ve never heard a six piece band ask “What?” while answering with Stevie Wonder level energy, you’re in for it.

🔥 Tree lighting starts around 6, when we’ll roll out a couple special beer options made just for the night. More on that soon.

🌲 Got a tree to retire? Drop it off curbside anytime leading up to the event. We promise to give it the dramatic send off it deserves. One minute it’s a drying piece of holiday decor. The next it’s whoooosh.

🍴 The Dumpling Wagon and Gumbo De Ma Mére will be here all day keeping everyone fed, warm, and slightly less flammable.

Start the new year the Wayward way. One big fire, great beer, loud horns, and a field full of neighbors cheering on burning trees. Who’s ready to blaze it up?

Live Music: Shelby Nash & The July Comets + Side Effect

We’re kicking off the winter music season in The Metal Shed with a special night of two upcoming Schoharie-based bands, both featuring our very own Kyle behind the drums. This will be the first time we’ve hosted a double-bill in the shed, and the perfect way to kick off our winter music season as we bring new life to the shed.

On stage: Shelby Nash and The July Comets, and Side Effect, two rising local bands bringing their own unique sounds to Wayward Lane.

Side Effect

A groove-heavy blend of funk, soul, and alt rock with plenty of playful twists. Expect smooth pocket-driven takes on classics and deep cuts, soulful harmonies, and a few surprises—think Scary Pockets meets Talking Heads. Tight musicianship, laid-back energy, and pure fun.

Shelby Nash and The July Comets

High-energy, feel-good rock and pop with a country heart and a touch of glam. Their set moves from Pat Benatar to Dolly to Britpop and disco, all with Shelby’s powerhouse vocals and contagious charisma front and center. Equal parts honky-tonk, dance floor, and pure singalong joy.

We’re fired up to welcome Gumbo de Ma Mère — a new local pop-up serving authentic Creole gumbo. A New Orleans family now rooted in Middleburgh, they bring warmth and love to every bowl. Gumbo will be ready starting at 3pm, so come early and grab a bowl before the music kicks off. The Dumpling Wagon will be here too, holding it down all day like always.

The Metal Shed now has its own bar pouring six Wayward beers on tap (plus cider, CC spritz, kombucha, and NA options). More upgrades are in the works — including a 20-foot tube heater to keep everyone cozy, an enclosed entryway to cut down the chill, and dart boards coming soon.

Come celebrate the start of the shed’s winter concert series—this night will set the tone for the season ahead.
