Wayward Lane’s first Crawfish Boil is going down.
We’re bringing a New Orleans tradition up to Schoharie for a full day of food, music, and getting your hands a little dirty.
We’ve had the chance to work with Gumbo de Ma Mére a handful of times now, and Dave and Megan have quickly become part of the fabric around here. What they do is the real deal, and we’re fired up to bring something like this to the area together.
This boil is a love story.
Megan and Dave first met at a crawfish boil in New Orleans over Memorial Day weekend in 2016. Since then, they’ve kept the tradition alive each year, gathering friends and family around a big pot of crawfish.
Now that they are in New York, they are bringing that same joyful, messy, hands-on tradition north.
We’ll be running a traditional-style boil throughout the day. Crawfish, sausage, corn, and potatoes all cooked together, then dumped straight onto the tables.

We’ll have live music from 4–7pm with Gordon St. leaning into New Orleans-inspired sounds, funk, and groove.
Let the good times roll.
